From One Community to Many: Building a Shared Application

The University of St. Thomas, MN started on a path to build their Event Management tool on the Salesforce platform. The campus community gave input to meet their needs and requirements and after moving the project to the Salesforce.org Commons, multiple higher education and nonprofit community members have helped design an Event Management solution to drive success within their Salesforce orgs… 5 years later, it’s still free and has blossomed with features and functionality. The University of St. Thomas in Minnesota began building an Event Management solution on the Salesforce platform. The campus community provided input on their needs and requirements. After moving the project to the  Salesforce.org  Commons, higher education and nonprofit community members helped design an Event Management solution for driving success on Salesforce. Five years later, this solution remains free and has blossomed with many features and much functionality. The Summit Events App started as a humble project to meet the event management needs of one university. Now, thanks to the contributions of a caring community, it has evolved into a robust tool that enables many other schools and nonprofits to efficiently organize their events on Salesforce.
