Nonprofit Success Pack Upgrade Tips & Tricks for Admins

Has your non-profit organization been considering upgrading to the Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) 3.0? Having been available for several years, you are probably aware of all the awesome features Salesforce has built into the new NPSP, such as simplified management and setup interface, improved and expanded donation & grant functionality, multiple addresses (a personal favorite!), automatic updates, and of course, the Household Account model, which simplifies household management. For most nonprofits, the benefits of upgrading are immediately tangible, however it is still a daunting project. Salesforce.org provides many useful resources which can help you assess if your org is ready and to guide you through the steps the transition to NPSP 3.0 and the optional switch to the Household Account model. We all know that documentation can?t tell you everything, however, and that is where this session comes into play. In this session, I will guide you through the upgrade process from the eyes of a Salesforce admin who has lived it. Learn from my successes, and my mistakes. How long does it really take? How clean does your data really need to be? What do you really need to know to complete the upgrade as efficiently and successfully as possible? This session will dive into some of the nitty-gritty technical details of the process and is perfect for both the Salesforce power user and admin who will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and successful upgrade.
